Paula Marin
Clinical Psychologist
Meeting with a psychologist offers a unique opportunity to express what may be difficult to put into words - emotional discomfort, anxiety, relationship challenges, family conflicts, work-related stress, or other forms of psychological suffering. Together, we work toward alleviating this distress.
My name is Paula Marin, I hold a Masters degree in Psychoanalytic Clinical Psychopathology from the Sorbonne University of Paris. I specialize in Trauma and PTSD therapy, using a humanistic and evidence-based approach. All our consultations take place in a warm, supportive and compassionate environment.
Since establishing my private practice in Brazil, France, and later in Ireland, I have had the privilege of working with individuals from diverse cultural and social backgrounds. I provide psychotherapy in English, French, and Portuguese, both in Dublin and in Paris.
I also provide clinical support for children, supporting them through emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges, and work closely with parents to help them better understand and support their child.
In addition, I work with adolescents, supporting them through identity-related conflicts and transitional challenges.
I am most inspired by psychoanalytical theory, in a flexible and integrative basis. This framework allows us to explore your experiences within a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential space.
During the sessions, you may be encouraged to reflect on the roots of your suffering and practise self-knowledge in a gentle way.
It is careful support towards a feeling of emotional security and inner peace.
